It started with a medicine cabinet full of bottles. Vitamin D, B12, magnesium, ashwagandha, melatonin — each one promising something, each one adding another step to an already full morning.
On an average day, we were taking 8-12 different supplements. Some with food, some without. Some in the morning, some at night. Half the time we forgot. The other half, they made us nauseous.
At some point we asked the obvious question: why are we still doing this the same way they did in the 1950s?
Nicotine patches have helped millions quit smoking since the 1980s. Hormone patches. Fentanyl patches for pain. The medical world figured out decades ago that skin is an effective delivery system. But somehow the supplement industry never caught on.
